Nurse leader highlights intentional role modeling during pandemic
Cynthia Caroselli, PhD, RN, associate healthcare system director for patient services and chief nurse executive at the Veterans Affairs (VA) New York Harbor Healthcare System shared the lessons learned during her organization’s experience at the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic in the spring of 2020. Her account includes an overview of the health care system setting, previous crisis experience and a review of decisions made during the four phases of the VA’s Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan.
