Your Voice Matters
Sharing your individual experience with legislators helps them understand the system-level changes needed in nursing and patient care. AONL provides public policy information when it comes to supporting or opposing legislation, but our power truly lies in your stories. By joining AONL’s Nurse Leaders in Advocacy program, you become part of a network of issue ambassadors dedicated to improving health through advocacy. Our advocacy team partners with you to develop effective communication strategies for impactful discussion at the federal level.
Your professional perspective drives innovation. We are tackling key issues like workforce development, mitigating workplace violence and incivility, supporting evidence-based practice and promoting the value of nursing. Are you ready to help transform health care?
AONL will provide you with the tools to develop concise, influential testimony to educate and inform policymakers, the media and your colleagues. As you influence federal policy and grow your connections, you become a valuable resource for your input on public policy.
