NCC thanks Congress for provisions in CARES Act
The Nursing Community Coalition (NCC) sent a letter to Congress this month to thank leaders for including top NCC priorities in the CARES Act and to urge members to protect and support nurses battling COVID-19 in future legislation. Among the letter’s requests: strengthen public health with long-term investments as well as short-term injections of cash; increase funding for Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs; invest in nursing research; and include professional nursing organizations in future aid packages to small businesses. AONL is one of 63 national nursing organizations that make up the NCC.
