Beginning in June, the Joint Commission will resume surveys and reviews, with safety being its foremost priority. The surveys will focus on current conditions and how organizations have adapted during the pandemic rather than looking retroactively at compliance. The commission is in the process of reviewing criteria for determining which facilities to survey first. Physical distancing practices will be employed to ensure the safety of all parties.
