Webinar offers tips for building confidence in vaccination during pregnancy

A recent webinar brought together leaders from the American Hospital Association (AHA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and health care organizations nationwide. In efforts to increase the number of pregnant people getting COVID-19 vaccines, health care leaders shared strategies for building confidence in COVID-19 vaccination. Among the insights shared, take extra time to discuss vaccines with pregnant patients; choose words carefully and speak respectfully; consider social determinants of health; find community allies; and use multiple opportunities to educate pregnant patients.
