Pandemic restrictions on the ability of patients’ families to spend time at the bedside has caused suffering for all parties, including nurses. The Family Presence Policy Decision-Making Toolkit for Nurse Leaders, which AONL endorses, is a free resource developed by Planetree International, helps nurses evaluate the risks and benefits of loosening policies that limit family members' physical presence. The not-for-profit is hosting a free webinar on June 2 at 11 a.m. ET. Several nurse leaders will share their experiences with establishing family presence policies during the pandemic.
