NCC asks Congress to support COVID-19 priorities, 2021 funding requests
In letters to Congressional leaders last week, the Nursing Community Coalition (NCC) called on lawmakers to support key nursing programs in the coming fiscal year and provide supplemental funding in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. NCC requested at least $270 million for Title VIII nursing workforce development programs and $178 million for the National Institute of Nursing Research. Public health, telehealth access and nursing education were also on the coalition’s list of priorities. AONL is one of 63 national nursing organizations that make up the NCC.
