CDC: Nurses most likely HCP to contract COVID-19
An analysis of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data collected from mid-February to mid-July found nurses predominated among health care professionals (HCPs) who contracted COVID-19. The finding is based on data from six U.S. jurisdictions reporting their data by specific health occupation. Health professionals who died from COVID-19 tended to be older, male, Asian, Black and have an underlying medical condition. (CDC MMWR article, 9/25/20)
