AONL Survey Identifies Top Challenges During Pandemic
A July survey of 1,824 nurse leaders from AONL and Joslin Marketing identified the lack of a playbook, shortage of personal protective equipment and supplies and ever-changing information among the top challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Slightly more than half of respondents worked at organizations that increased their ICU beds this year. Conducted after the initial surge on the east coast while cases were rising elsewhere in the county, the survey captured the views of CNOs, directors and managers nationwide in various stages of pandemic response. A summary of the study findings is available in December’s Nurse Leader. The report is available on the AONL website.
