AONL Foundation names 2025 honorees

The AONL Foundation for Nursing Leadership Research and Education named Eileen Lake, PhD, RN, the AONL Foundation Nurse Researcher Award honoree. She developed the Practice Environment Scale of the Nursing Work Index, a tool used widely to assess nursing work environments. Lake is professor of nursing and sociology, Edith Clemmer Steinbright professor in gerontology, and associate director of the Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in Philadelphia. The AONL Foundation also named symplr its Friend of the Year Award recipient for co-sponsoring a foundation symposium on artificial intelligence and the Beyond Gratitude program, a collaboration between AONL and the DAISY Foundation to support nurses. AONL will honor Lake and symplr, based in Houston, during its annual conference March 31-April 2 in Boston. (AONL news release, 3/27/25)
