AHRQ establishes National Nursing Home COVID Action Network
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) partnered with the University of New Mexico’s ECHO Institute in Albuquerque and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement in Boston to establish a National Nursing Home COVID Action Network. The network will deliver a free 16-week training and mentorship program on the implementation of evidence-based infection prevention and safety practices to staff at more than 15,000 nursing homes. Eligible nursing homes must be certified to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs. Those that participate can receive $6,000 in compensation to cover staff training time.
