Speak Up program releases new patients’ rights resources

An infographic in poster form, an animated video and a distribution guide for health care organizations are now available as part of the Joint Commission’s Speak Up campaign. The campaign promotes patient safety by encouraging patients and their families to play an active role in their care. The latest video addresses several patient’s rights: to be informed about and make decisions regarding care; to receive care free from discrimination; and to have a patient advocate. The video and other resources are available both in Spanish and English. (Joint Commission Online story, 11/13/19)
