System platform helps clinicians improve care with consistency
Jefferson Health in Philadelphia uses a clinical operating system platform to keep employees across 17 hospitals on the same page when identifying and implementing patient-focused care improvements. The health system’s front-line teams, patients and community members collaborate with the clinical improvement design team and informatics specialists to inform Jefferson’s process to improve workflows, with the ultimate goal of improving care. While the system strives for a standardized approach, it incorporates nuances and complexities to allow for differences between rural facilities, community hospitals and its academic-medical center. Jefferson Health was a finalist for the American Hospital Association’s 2024 Quest for Quality Prize.
