AONL, AACN Offer Academic-Practice Partnership Webinar

AONL and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing will host a webinar exploring the value of academic-practice partnerships on April 15 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. ET. Speakers from the AACN/AONL Academic-Practice Advisory Committee will discuss the need to collaborate closely to implement the AACN’s The Essentials: Core Competencies for Professional Nursing Education. The webinar will highlight the 17-year partnership between the University of Maryland School of Nursing and the University of Maryland Medical System, both in Baltimore. Speakers will share insights academic and health care organizations can leverage to begin, expand or sustain their academic-practice partnerships. They also will highlight lessons learned and future goals for academic-practice partnerships in implementing competency-based education. Participants must register in advance.
