AHA partners with FBI on mitigating targeted violence

The American Hospital Association in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation released an issue brief and webpage on mitigating targeted violence in health care settings. The issue brief examines threat assessment and threat management and steps to take should one identify a potential threat. The partnership will enable the AHA to offer a full suite of resources for hospitals to implement threat assessment and threat management principles or enhance existing efforts. Future resources include a guide for hospitals developed with input from AHA members, case studies and podcasts.
