AACN publicizes toolkit on well-being best practices
The American Association of Colleges of Nursing this week encouraged practice leaders and educators to take advantage of its dedicated website and faculty toolkit on developing nurse well-being and leadership. The information is particularly relevant to practice leaders and educators focused on transitioning students to practice and maintaining healthy work environments. Part of the AACN’s efforts to help schools of nursing implement its Essentials competency-based education, the toolkit features definitions, key learning resources, integrative learning strategies, case scenarios, recommended assessment methods and a framework for program evaluation. The AACN also highlights the work of 10 pilot schools, including products developed, videos and photos showing each school’s approach to student competency development. (AACN news release, 6/26/24)
