Survey can assess inclusivity in schools of nursing
An updated survey instrument can better assess the experiences of nursing faculty, students and staff from diverse backgrounds while identifying practices that facilitate student and professional success. With funding from Johnson & Johnson, the American Association of Colleges of Nursing adapted its Leading Across Multidimensional Perspectives Culture and Climate Survey to identify and assess the unique environmental and programmatic characteristics of nursing schools that facilitate engagement and success. AACN is testing the survey at 51 nursing schools. Schools of nursing interested in using the survey can complete a form. In addition, AACN released a publication containing practical strategies schools can use to elevate engagement among students, faculty and staff. (Newswise release, 2/1/24)
