To assist hospitals and health systems in making difficult decisions about how to deploy limited staff and resources, the American Hospital Association (AHA) has compiled a list of resources, tools and sample policies, which clinical teams can consult during the COVID-19 crisis. Items include ethical guidelines related to the allocation of scarce resources; critical care guidelines and preparedness tools; information on safely intubating patients and optimizing the use of available ventilators; advice on communication and palliative care; and links to licensure and educational resources.
