Unconscious bias training featured in webinar

Winners of the 2020 Carolyn Boone Lewis Equity of Care Award shared two approaches to unconscious bias training through an archived webinar on the American Hospital Association (AHA) website. The presenters, one from a rural hospital and one from an urban health system, describe the innovative staff training methods they use to address the dynamics of unconscious biases. They explain how to avoid uncomfortable interactions and showcase successful strategies for heightening bias awareness in the workplace.
