Zimmermann discusses effort to recognize nurse managers

DAISY Foundation Chief Executive Officer Deb Zimmerman, DNP, RN, who is also president-elect of AONL, discussed the partnership between AONL and DAISY to recognize nurse managers for their vital role in health care. Beyond Gratitude: A Tribute to Nurse Managers also seeks to facilitate discussions between senior leaders and nurse managers on the need for change in the nurse manager role to achieve work satisfaction. The partners also plan to conduct research demonstrating how meaningful recognition and redesign of the nurse manager role improve work satisfaction.
