Webinar explores hospital investment in community health

Given the growing recognition of how societal factors affect health, pioneering health organizations are investing in efforts to address community conditions such as a lack of affordable housing. With funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Center for Community Investment (CCI) has been working with six health care systems to help them identify community priorities and use their assets—land, financial resources, relationships, expertise, etc.—to invest in projects that advance community priorities. A Nov. 12 webinar from noon to 1:15 p.m. CT will feature a discussion of the recently released Investing in Community Health: A Toolkit for Hospitals and lessons from the successful launch of community investment initiatives. Webinar participants should register in advance. More resources are available on the American Hospital Association website.
