SAMHSA announces grants to expand MAT access, SUD prevention
This week, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) announced $25.6 million in grants to expand access to medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder and to prevent the misuse of prescription drugs. Eligible nonprofit entities can apply through April 29 for up to $750,000 each to expand MAT access, and through April 25 for up to $500,000 each for resources to raise awareness about the dangers of sharing medications, over-prescribing, and fake or counterfeit pills sold online.
