NP Journal legislative update reports on APRN practice gains
According to the Nurse Practitioner Journal, which released its annual legislative update this month, two states—Delaware and Massachusetts—amended laws or regulations in order to grant full practice authority to advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs), and several other states made incremental advancements. The update also reports on changes pertaining to the provision of telehealth and home health services by nursing practitioners and clinical nurse specialists. Earlier this month, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners applauded New York’s governor, who put forth a plan to eliminate collaborative practice agreements in that state.
