NCSBN 2022 Environmental Scan shows resiliency of nursing workforce

The nursing workforce continues to offer high quality care to patients in spite of the pandemic, according to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) 2022 Environmental Scan. Among its other findings, nursing education programs ─ supported by nursing regulators ─ are relying on innovation and collaboration to teach students. The annual NCSBN scan provides a comprehensive report of nursing, health care and regulation, including the continuing impact of COVID-19. Based on the most recent statistics, literature and research related to health care and public protection, the scan is intended to assist nursing regulatory bodies, policymakers and others in strategic planning.
