NCC submits testimony supporting Title VIII, NINR funding

Sixty members of the Nursing Community Coalition (NCC), including AONL, signed onto written testimony submitted to the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education this week. The testimony featured the coalition's funding requests of $530 million for Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs and nearly $200 million for the National Institute of Nursing Research for fiscal year 2022. “By providing bold funding for Title VIII and NINR, Congress can continue to reinforce and strengthen the foundational care nurses provide daily in communities across the country,” the testimony concludes.
