NCC letter updates appropriations request

AONL and 61 other members of the Nursing Community Coalition (NCC) sent a letter last week to the House and Senate Appropriations Committees. They asked for at least $324.472 million for Title VIII Nursing Workforce and Development Programs and at least $208.571 million for the National Institute of Nursing Research for fiscal year 2023 as stipulated in the House Appropriations Committee passed bill. “It is imperative that funding for these programs reflects the heightened needs of our communities, especially as nurses across the country remain on the front lines” of the COVID-19 pandemic, the letter stated.
