NCC calls on Congress to pass act recognizing cadet nurses
This week, 56 members of the Nursing Community Coalition (NCC) signed letters to the House and Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committees urging them to pass the United States Cadet Nurse Corps Service Recognition Act of 2021 (S.1220/H.R.2568). The bill would recognize the nearly 120,000 nurses who served during World War II. The NCC urged Congress to “honor these servicewomen for their dedication to our country.” AONL is one of 63 national nursing organizations that make up the NCC. (NCC letter, 2/14/22)
