Health equity funding opportunity announced
Individuals and organizations working to advance health equity can apply for up to $50,000 in funding from the AARP Center for Health Equity through Nursing and the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action. Proposed projects should work to eliminate structural racism and other structural inequities within the nursing profession, health systems or community and lead to improved access to care and services for those most disproportionately impacted by health disparities. All projects will require community partners and must support the advancement of one or more of the recommendations in the National Academy of Medicine report, The Future of Nursing 2020-2030: Charting a Path to Achieve Health Equity. Projects also should demonstrate collaboration with the Campaign’s state Action Coalitions. AARP will hold an informational webinar on Oct. 31 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. ET; applications are due on Nov. 15 by 10:00 p.m. ET. (Campaign for Action blog, 10/25/22)
