HRSA launches two grants to expand, strengthen nursing workforce
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) earlier this week announced the availability of two grants to grow the nursing workforce, improve access to nursing education and advance health equity. The Clinical Faculty and Preceptor Academies Program will offer awards totaling $10 million over four years to increase the nursing workforce by recruiting, training and supporting clinical nursing faculty and preceptors. Applications are due Aug. 22. The Registered Nurse Training Program will offer awards totaling $4.75 million over three years to expand the number of nursing students who receive training in acute care settings, with a priority on addressing and responding to the social determinants of health and advancing health equity.
