HHS launches app to help Latinos navigate care
Last week, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) launched a Spanish version of its QuestionBuilder app to help Latino patients prepare for in-person medical or telehealth appointments. The app provides common questions users can customize to facilitate dialogue with their health care providers. Research shows high numbers of Latinos are uninsured and struggle to communicate with their providers when they do access care, and 85% of them have access to a mobile device. The HHS Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) developed the app. (HHS news release, 10/8/21)
