Guide released on preventing health worker suicides
The American Hospital Association (AHA) last week released Suicide Prevention: Evidence-Informed Interventions for the Health Care Workforce. The report describes key drivers of suicide in the health care workforce and provides evidence-informed intervention strategies and metrics. AHA developed a webpage dedicated to preventing health care worker suicide. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health financially supported the report. (AHA news article, 9/28/22)
