Filipino nurses share knowledge through ‘teach back’ program
Filipino nurses based in the U.S. share their knowledge with colleagues in the Philippines through a program run by the Philippine Nurses Association of America (PNAA). Called Balik Turo, which translates as “teach back”, the event occurs every two years before and after an international conference in Manila co-hosted by PNAA, the Philippine Nurses Association and the Association of Deans of the Philippine Colleges of Nursing. Filipino-American nurses visit health care organizations and universities to share developments in clinical practice, and provide guidance on leadership, cultivating researchers and faculty progression.
