Federal nurse advisory opportunities available
The Nominations Consortium, a group seeking to have more nurse leaders appointed to federal advisory roles, invites nominations for leaders with expertise, background and experience related to six federal advisory bodies to apply for consideration. The available opportunities are: the Board of Scientific Counselors, National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (Sept. 1 deadline); Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Safety and Occupational Health Study Section (Sept. 1 deadline); and Presidential Advisory Council on Combatting Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria (Sept. 19 deadline). The other opportunities are CDC Clinical Laboratory Improvement Advisory Committee (Sept. 30 deadline); CDC/Health Resources and Services Administration Advisory Committee on HIV, Viral Hepatitis and STD Prevention and Treatment (Oct. 1 deadline); and CDC Lead Exposure and Prevention Advisory Committee (Nov. 4 deadline).
