DAISY Foundation calls for recognition of nurse faculty

The DAISY Foundation is once again calling for schools of nursing to recognize and celebrate their nursing faculty as role models in compassionate nursing practice. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), the National League for Nursing, the Organization of Associate Degree Nursing and, for the first time, nursing honor society Sigma, are partnering with DAISY on the effort. Since the initial call to action in 2018, 247 additional campus locations have implemented The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Faculty. Capturing faculty stories of compassion represents a valuable way to express gratitude and inspire others. (AACN news release, 10/20/21)
