Companies recall sodium acetate, sodium chloride injections

Fresenius Kabi USA voluntarily recalled seven lots of sodium acetate Injection this week due to the presence of particulate matter found in reserve and/or stability sample vials. The previous week, B. Braun Medical Inc. voluntarily recalled five lots of 0.9% sodium chloride for injection due to fluid leakage or low fill volume of the respective containers. The Food and Drug Administration posted both company announcements on its website.
