Comments on NAM health workforce well-being plan due at midnight
The public comment period for the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) Clinician Well-Being Collaborative’s National Plan for Health Workforce Well-being ends at midnight tonight. The National Plan is intended to strengthen the health care workforce by combatting burnout. To this end, the plan identified seven strategies: create and sustain positive work and learning environments and culture; invest in measurement, assessment, strategies and research; support mental health and reduce stigma; address compliance, regulatory and policy barriers for daily work; engage effective technology tools; institutionalize well-being as a long-term value; and recruit and retain a diverse and inclusive health workforce. The draft of the National Plan was released May 20 along with an explanatory webinar.
