CMS seeks input on enhancing equity

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) seeks through Nov. 4 comments on how to enhance equity in its programs. Specifically, the agency wants feedback on accessing health care and related challenges, understanding provider experiences, and accessing the impact of waivers and flexibilities offered in response to the pandemic. It is interested in hearing about strategies successfully used to address the social determinants of health and challenges underserved communities face in accessing comprehensive, quality care. In addition, CMS wants to understand the greatest challenges for health care workers in meeting individual needs, and the impact of CMS policies, operations and communications on provider experiences.
