CMS launches collaborative to lower use of cesarian delivery

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced a learning collaborative and webinar series to help state Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program agencies improve maternal and infant health by reducing cesarean deliveries for low-risk pregnancies. CMS invited state agency staff and their quality improvement partners, including hospitals, to participate in a three-part webinar series beginning March 31 at 2 p.m. ET. After the series, an affinity group will provide technical assistance to support the initiative. Participants should register for the webinar in advance.
