AONL Releases Longitudinal Nurse Leader Study
The emotional health and well-being of nurse leaders has slightly improved from the past year, but remains the top issue facing nurse leaders, according to an AONL Foundation study. The Longitudinal Nursing Leadership Insight Study, released with Joslin Insight, identifies the challenges facing nurse leaders at all levels and provides an understanding of the state of the workforce. Staff retention and the cost of travel nursing are the other pressing issues nursing leaders identified. The report also offers insights into a day in the life of nurse leaders and their job satisfaction. AONL hosted a webinar to explain the findings and the interactive chart allowing users to see the data from a number of viewpoints. AONL will use the findings to inform its workforce initiatives, including a phased rollout of its workforce compendium, a resource to assist members in improving their workplace staffing challenges.
