AONL Foundation Sets Financial Aid Challenge
The AONL Foundation for Nursing Leadership Research and Education seeks to raise at least $100,000 before Dec. 31 for its financial aid program and general fund. The proceeds will enable nurse leaders from small, rural or critical access hospitals, or those from diverse backgrounds to participate in professional development programs, with a goal of 20 leaders participating by the end of 2025. Lisbeth Votruba, MSN, RN, chief clinical officer at AvaSure in Belmont, Mich., will match the first $5,000 given. “The Foundation's financial aid program really speaks to my heart,” she said. “We're preparing the next generation of nursing leaders. We're making it possible for people to have these life changing experiences when they might not have had the opportunity without our support.” Votruba is a member of the AONL Foundation board of directors and co-chair of the foundation’s fund development committee.
