AONL, ENA Release Workplace Violence Toolkit

To help hospitals and health systems protect their employees and patients, AONL and the Emergency Nurses Association recently updated their Guiding Principles on Mitigating Workplace Violence. The toolkit uses new research and incorporates best practices. This update ─ using new research and incorporating best practices ─ provides a toolkit for leaders to customize a workplace violence prevention program. AONL CEO and American Hospital Association Senior Vice President and CNO Robyn Begley and ENA CEO Nancy MacRae said, “As health care leaders, we must urgently lead work with all clinicians, staff and leadership to drive a cultural change so no one accepts workplace violence as part of a health care worker’s job.”
