AHA releases last section of workforce guide

Recruitment and retention, diversity and inclusion, and creative staffing models are covered in the final section of the American Hospital Association’s (AHA) three-part guide to strengthening the health care workforce. Released this week, the guide will help hospital leaders navigate workforce challenges and opportunities, as well as highlight strategies and resources to assist them. The guide includes a resource on leveraging the promise of advanced practice providers. It also highlights the Nursing Think Tank Recommendations, which AONL helped to develop. The AHA Board of Trustees’ Task Force on the Workforce provided guidance for the series, with input from AHA members. The first two sections of the guide focus on supporting the team and using data and technology to support the workforce. (AHA News article, 9/7/22)
