AHA Issues Workforce Guide

The American Hospital Association (AHA) Board of Trustees’ Task Force on the Workforce earlier this week released the first part of a guide with strategies to help hospital and health system leaders maintain a strong and resilient workforce. The first section covers well-being, behavioral health and violence prevention. Information on data and technology, recruitment and creative staffing models will be released soon. The guide includes key considerations and questions to drive action, and takeaways for health care leaders, including resources and case studies. Formed earlier this year, the task force is identifying efforts to improve working conditions and assure the future supply of health care professionals.
