As front-line nurse leaders, charge nurses confront many challenges in their daily work often without the benefit of formal training and intentional professional development opportunities. Closing this gap is key in supporting an ever-changing health care environment with key quality indicators such as patient satisfaction and nurse retention. This study shows the benefit of a charge nurse development program with an additional resiliency component.
