AONL Announces New Treasurer and Board Directors

The American Organization for Nursing Leadership membership elected Jacqueline Herd, DNP, RN, to serve a three-year term as treasurer of the AONL Board of Directors beginning Jan.1 2025. She currently serves as the chief nursing officer pool at Providence St. Joseph’s Health System in Renton, Wash. Herd is responsible for coaching new chief nursing officers and stepping in as interim chief nursing officer across Providence’s 51 ministries whenever a vacancy arises.
Also elected to the AONL Board of Directors, serving three-year terms beginning Jan. 1, 2025, are the following:
- Helene M. Burns, DNP, RN, chief nurse executive, AtlantiCare, N.J.
- Tera L. Gross, DNP, RN, chief nursing officer, Mayo Clinic in Florida, Jacksonville
- Anthony Watkins, MSN, RN, clinical manager, Childrens Hospital Colorado, Aurora
