CDC blog focuses on preventing workplace violence

A Centers for Disease Control Blog and Prevention blog highlights how the government and the health care field are implementing workplace violence prevention programs. AONL CEO Robyn Begley, DNP, RN, and six co-authors note workplace violence prevention programs must benefit the entire health workforce, including all ages, genders and racial and ethnic backgrounds, including immigrants. The blog describes the high and increasing rate of workplace violence in the health sector and the cumulative toll it can take on workers’ mental health and well-being. In addition, the blog discusses what employers can do. (CDC blog, 5/29/24)
