The American Nurses Association joined AONL and other nursing and health care organizations to launch COVID Vaccine Facts for Nurses, a vaccine education campaign and website designed to provide nurses with current and culturally sensitive information about the COVID-19 vaccine. These resources will help nurses field questions from patients and other nurses. Of the 30% of nurses who have yet to receive the vaccine, 46% identify as Black or African American and one quarter express indecision about receiving it. Reasons for hesitation include fear of long- and short-term side effects and not having enough information about it. (ANA news release, 3/16/21)
