Harris Poll: Americans trust clinicians, hospitals on COVID-19 vaccines
When it comes to providing accurate information about COVID-19 vaccines in development, respondents to an August Harris Poll ranked nurses and physicians above other information sources, with 88% saying they are “somewhat” or “very” trustworthy. Almost as many Americans (84% and 82% respectively) expressed trust in nationally recognized health systems and local hospitals. Trust in various government agencies, including those tasked with working on vaccines, was at least 10 percentage points lower, and only 61% of respondents expressed trust in their employers.
