Campaign aims to speed nursing school involvement in COVID-19 vaccination
The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) announced the launch of a national campaign to accelerate the engagement of nursing schools in efforts to vaccinate the public against COVID-19. Through this initiative, nursing schools will pledge their support to safely engage faculty, students and other stakeholders in administering the vaccine and educating citizens on protecting themselves during the pandemic. AACN asked its member schools to commit to deploying their students and faculty to support vaccination efforts and to share examples of what they are doing locally to help citizens stay healthy. The association has posted an online pledge form where schools can detail what they are doing to facilitate vaccination. (AACN news release, 1/19/21)
