Tri-Council for Nursing encourages nurses to vote
AONL and other members of the Tri-Council for Nursing urge nurses to vote in the 2024 elections to ensure politicians prioritize quality patient care and nursing perspectives. As the largest, most trusted health care profession, the Tri-Council says nurses influence public health and policy. “With so much at stake for the future of health care, it is essential for nurses to make their voices heard, because when nurses speak, health care changes for the better,” the organization says. Nurses should weigh candidates’ positions, proposals, statements and voting records. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing, the American Nurses Association, the National Council of State Boards of Nursing and the National League for Nursing are the other members of the Tri-Council.
